Flat Chenille Picture frame and bracelet beading tutorial

9.00$

In this tutorial I show you how you can create a picture frame with Flat Chenille Stitch®, for which – in addition to beading – I use other handcrafts techniques as well: as sewing several stitches and cutting some incisions on a bamboo skewer with an X-acto knife.

If you prefer to create jewellery, don’t worry, I show you in the tutorial, how you can bead a Flat Chenille Stitch® bracelet using the same pattern.

Description

In this tutorial I show you how you can create a picture frame with Flat Chenille Stitch®, for which – in addition to beading – I use other handcrafts techniques as well: as sewing several stitches and cutting some incisions on a bamboo skewer with an X-acto knife.

The inner size of my frame is 4” by 2 3/8”. You can create your own size, but you have to concentrate to the inner size of the frame (which is the size of the picture), the outer size will come naturally. I used Toho seed beads size 11/0 and 15/0 for this project. I recommend you to use these beads too. You can bead the frame using Toho seed beads size 8/0 with 11/0, or Miyuki seed beads as well.

If you use Toho seed beads size 8/0 and 11/0 together, you can piece together the frame the same way, as I do with my smaller beads, but you can’t bead the caps to the ends of the bamboo skewer with these sizes. For the caps you have to use seed beads size 11/0 and 15/0.

If you prefer to create jewellery, don’t worry, I show you in the tutorial, how you can bead a Flat Chenille Stitch® bracelet using the same pattern.
